Kioumars Sepehri’s Autobiography:

I, Kioumars Sepehri, was born in 1967 in the city of Sonqor (Kermanshah province), spent my elementary, middle and high school in the cities of Songor and Kermanshah. In the 1984 entrance exam in the field of Judicial Law, I was accepted to the University of Tehran and completed 150 courses in seven semesters and graduated, in July 1988 as a first grader from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Tehran. During my studies, for several months, I did an internship at the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Kermanshah Law Firms alongside the accomplished judges of those times. In February 1988, during my military service, I joined the units of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support in the west of Iran, and served for two years as a legal expert in the legal work and property of the Armed Forces in the western provinces of Iran. This work continued two years later and after that I entered the telecommunication company as the head of legal affairs and telecommunication properties of Kermanshah province, which continued until I got the internship license in late 1994 and after that continued my collaboration as a lawyer of the telecommunication company until 2008. In 1993, I participated in the first entrance exam for the internship of lawyers and was accepted with a high rank, and chose the city of Kermanshah for my advocacy activities. In 1999, I received a first-class license to practice law. In 1997, I participated in the state master's entrance exam and was accepted in the field of criminal law and criminology at the University of Tehran, and in September 2001, I defended my dissertation. In 2001, I participated in the entrance exam for the Official Experts of the Judiciary, and after being accepted and trained in the field of Occupational Accidents in 2004, I succeeded in receiving the Official License of the Judiciary. Since 2002, I have played a significant role in the formation of the Bar Association of the West of Iran (Kermanshah, Hamedan and Ilam Provinces) and its activities, and because of been active in many parts of the Bar Association, I have been selected as Chairman of the Bar Association of the West for two times. Also I have been selected as the inspector of the Bar Association of the West, for two times. I have always been following the general and macro issues of the Bar Associations and the profession of advocacy, so I was elected as an inspector of the National Union of Bar Associations of Iran and also was elected as an inspector of the Lawyer’s Fund for Retirement and Disability of Lawyers for four times. One of my most important activities in the Bar Association have been to try to formulate “The Codes of Conduct for Professional Behavior of Defendant Lawyers" and to establish an "Arbitration Center" in the Bar Association by drafting its statutes, rules and regulations, which has been achieved with the help of several colleagues. Needless to say, this project has played a significant role in advancing the advocacy community and the judiciary system of Iran. During my professional career, I have been involved in various professional and legal lawsuits including criminal law, family law, administrative, tax, labor-employer, etc., especially property lawsuits as a lawyer for the individual and legal persons (government, public, non-governmental). It can be said that I have represented and defended in all judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative authorities. Also, during my professional career, I had various scientific and applied researches, some of which are the result of several applied scientific and educational articles and writings related to the advocacy community and expert society in Iran.
